As Principal Product Designer, I shaped the libraries that fueled creativity inside PicMonkey and Shutterstock Create. From fonts to graphics, textures to templates, every piece was designed to empower users to move faster, dream bigger, and create their way, whether launching a business, growing a brand, or just making something fun.
Working closely with freelance designers, our product teams, and licensing partners, I helped bring thousands of assets to life, built for real users and real moments of everyday magic.
BUILDING WITH PURPOSE

Every font, graphic, texture, brush, and template was designed with real users in mind, balancing best practices, user requests, SEO goals, UX needs, and whatever new design trend was making waves at the moment.

I curated and licensed a full font library in partnership with Fontspring, ensuring that every font in the editor was available to our creators for personal and commercial use.
We prioritized a range of expressive, professional, and brand-friendly options to give users the freedom to speak their visual language.

KEY RESULTS
In 2020, users created with PicMonkey templates more than 5.5 million times and downloaded over 1.8 million designs.
Template-driven projects made up 1.8% of total organic traffic, showing how they fueled discovery and deeper engagement.
Adding text and graphics consistently ranked among our top ten most-used features, reinforcing how critical strong, accessible content libraries were to the creative experience.
