Human guided. AI accelerated.
A new creative workflow for designing and shipping digital experiences.

A NEW WAY TO PLAY

Foundry Labs needed a digital home for Microsoft’s emerging AI initiatives, but the timeline left little room for a traditional design process. Rather than treat that as a limitation, I saw it as an opportunity to rethink the way I worked. Using AI as a creative collaborator, I accelerated exploration, tested ideas faster, and moved from concept to launch in a fraction of the usual time. The site shipped successfully, and in the process I discovered a new creative workflow that blended the speed of AI with the judgment, intuition, and craft of an experienced designer.

MORE THAN A PROMPT

AI wasn’t there to design the website for me. It was there to help me think. Throughout the project, I used Claude to explore site structures, generate content directions, challenge assumptions, and quickly evaluate alternative approaches. Some ideas were useful. Others weren’t.

The real value came from accelerating exploration, reducing friction, and helping me move from concept to launch faster than a traditional process would have allowed.

What surprised me most was how quickly the process shifted from prompting to collaboration. Instead of starting with a blank canvas, I could explore multiple directions, test ideas, and refine concepts in real time. AI generated possibilities. My job was deciding which ones were worth pursuing.
